  • Prior to discharge from the hospital, our Respiratory Therapists perform an in-hospital assessment of the child’s needs and then prepare their home environment for a smooth transition from hospital to home.
  • The therapist will perform a home safety inspection to include checking the electrical outlets and voltage, to insure equipment can function properly and safely in the home environment.
  • Work closely with physicians, case managers, and home care providers to identify the best treatment for patient.
  • Provide mandatory seven day education in hospital prior to discharge with family members and caregivers.
  • In home visits by a Respiratory Therapist daily until patient and caregivers are established with all aspects of equipment and care. (Visits usually range from 3-4 weeks)
  • Continuous monthly visits by a Respiratory Therapist to evaluate care and service equipment.
  • Provide state of the art portable ventilators such as the LTV1150 laptop and Respironics Trilogy and all other related equipment and supplies.
  • Weekly supplies are delivered to the home by a trained Medical Equipment Technician.
